The Fund’s Champions of Change Breakfast recognizes individuals and organizations committed to women’s economic advancement and equity in the workplace. Our goal is to increase awareness about the disparities and challenges that women face in seeking economic and professional advancement and equity.
This year, we’re celebrating not just the extraordinary achievements of individuals, corporations, and nonprofit workforce development organizations, but the unstoppable spirit that drives them to break barriers and champion women in the workplace.

Previous honorees include Fredda Maddox, the first African American to be elected as Chester County Sheriff, and the first African American woman sworn in as a sheriff in Pennsylvania, Patricia B. Miller of Nobel Learning Communities, Roberta Torian of Reed Smith LLP, Dr. Lorraine (Laurie) Bernotsky of West Chester University, Charmaine Spence Rochester of Chester County Hospital, and JoAnne Reifsnyder of Genesis Healthcare.
Previous honorees include WSFS Bank, Fox Rothschild LLP, West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., First Resource Bank, SEI, and MacElree Harvey.
New this year, The Fund introduces an award focused on a nonprofit workforce development agency and is proud to partner with WSFS Cares Foundation to sponsor this award. The winner of the WSFS Nonprofit Workforce Development Award will be awarded a $1,000 grant by The Fund for Women and Girls, recognizing their work in breaking down barriers to employment and economic achievement.
