March 28, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Join the Colonial Theatre in participating in the 2017
National Evening of Science on Screen®
RUN LOLA RUN
Join us for the first in a series of three Science on Screen® (SoS) events in 2017, made possible through a generous grant from the Coolidge Corner Theatre Foundation with generous support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. SoS is a national film program that pairs Alfred P. Sloan Foundation-supported films and other arthouse and independent titles with engaging commentary from scientists working in related fields. National Evening of Science on Screen is a nationwide event and the Colonial Theatre will be one of 19 theatres participating.
Association for the Colonial Theatre reopened the historic Colonial Theatre in 1999 with the 1998 German film Run Lola Run. For the 2017 National Evening of Science on Screen, Physicist and Professor Casey M. Schwarz, PhD will deliver a 20-minute talk “Chaos Theory: Butterflies and Drug Lords” at 7:30. Run Lola Run will begin immediately after the talk, with time for a Q&A after the film.
