We Can Do Better

Chester County Fund for Women and Girls, in partnership with Downingtown Mayor Josh Maxwell, invites men to join local leaders and members of our community for a conversation about the important role that men play in creating a culture of respect and equality for all.  The public event will be held on Monday April 24, 2017 at 4 PM at Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown. The event will feature light fare and refreshments, great conversation and networking opportunities.

Mayor Maxwell will lead the conversation about how we all have opportunities to be ambassadors for women’s safety in our family, community, and professional lives.

According to CCFWG’s 2016 Blueprint Report, a gender-focused research study, “Increasing women’s safety is integral to elevating their overall status. Violence and abuse have devastating consequences that go beyond physical injury to undermine women’s autonomy, liberty and dignity, preventing them from fully participating in the economy and in civic and political life.” The Blueprint Report provides critical data about how women and girls are faring in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and in the nation.
