Youth Programming at The Fund

New! Vote16 PA

Pennsylvania high school students will collaborate with organizations and elected officials in advocating for a law that would grant 16- and 17-year-olds the right to vote in school board elections.

Participants will take the lead in researching the issue, developing promotional materials, and drafting legislation, all with guidance and support.

Most meetings will be held virtually, with occasional in-person gatherings. No prior experience is required—just strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, commitment to attending meetings, and the ability to work collaboratively.

The application window is from May 1st to June 15th.
For questions, please contact Blake Emmanuel at bemmanuel@thefundcc.org.

  • Make new friends from different schools and communities in Chester County
  • Discuss pressing social issues with your peers
  • Meet non-profits doing “boots-on-the-ground” work for women and girls
  • Collaborate with peers to fund up to $20,000 to local organizations through strategic grantmaking
  • Participate in community service activities

Both youth programs are free for participants, and accepted students may participate in these programs for a total of two years.
